“People are not being pulled into Europe; they are being pushed out of Syria because of warfare, and are being pushed out of camps because they have no hope in the camps they have at the present moment.
We need to stop looking at this just as a problem. Of course, it’s a problem: a huge human exodus, but we need to remember that ‘Marks’ out of Marks and Spencer was a refugee; Mo Farah was a refugee; Freddy Mercury was a refugee; Jesus Christ was a refugee. These people are not a problem.

They are a potential opportunity for the countries that give them a safe haven.”
